Smiles dental Care started humbly in the heart of the crowded city of Male’ in April 2003. The premise of the clinic was at its modest in the beginning with a total area of 650 square feet working space , consisted of only a consultation room, a waiting area and a toile. Smiles Dental Care even then with a staff strength of only four promised quality as it was equipped with latest gadgets used in the modern dentistry such as Digital Intra-oral X-ray.
Smiles Dental Care fully believes in social responsibility. Our team is relentless on its task to determine the needs, wants, and interests of dental market in the Maldives and to deliver the desired satisfactions more effectively and efficiently than the competitors in a way that preserves or enhances our society’s well-being.
Smiles Dental Care has conducted dental screening on students of almost all the primary schools of Male’. It has conducted several dental camps in the nearby islands and also has rendered free dental services to the rehabilaited centres in Male’ atoll.
The professionalism and commitment demonstrated by our Smiles team over the years has definitely touched the hearts of the people making our client base grow. This allowed us to offer our customers exceptional rates with superior service that other competitors cannot beat.
The success story of Smiles Dental care was evident by its second anniversary as much needed second dental chair was introduced and the clinic was able to improve our services to our clients. Staff strength grew from four to six.
However, by its 6th anniversary, with the introduction of orthodontic dental treatment and a growing loyal customer base , our next business focus was restructuring and expansion . Similes Dental Care welcomed its 9th anniversary with expanded services in its new facility
Smiles Dental Care was relocated to the ground floor of Ma. Vavathi giving provision for a working area of 1,666 square feet . It houses two consultation rooms , a toilet and a waiting area on the ground floor . The basement consists of a consultation room, a dental lab, a sterilization centre , store room and the administrative office.
Our reception and lounge area is spacious and reflects Smiles Dental Cares cleanliness and its commitment in enhancing your dental experience at Smiles .
Smiles Dental Care’s expansion was paralleled with a flat organizational structure that promises all its team members have their say when decisions are made . With a permanent staff strength of fifteen consisting of three dentists , one dental technician, two supervisor/infection controllers, three receptionists, four clinical assistants and two management staff ensure a less stressful, smooth, efficient work flow environment . All our marketing, cleaning and maintenance tasks are sub-contracted to third parties.
The new business model of Smiles also assures that its staff are fairly compensated .The performance appraisal system of Smiles Dental Care assures that employee performances are measured against our service standards and that good performances are rewarded .The system also identifies opportunities for staff development. In-house training are given to all staff through out the year on opportunity basis.
Smiles Dental Care’s operation rests on its Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) of Marsha Freeman & Associates , USA. The procedures assure that best practices in dentistry are in place in areas
